Directions for Great Boils:The contents of this can (16 oz) will season 1 3/4 gallons of water. This will be enough to boil 12 lbs. crawfish, 12 lbs. shrimp, or a dozen crabs. Bring water to a rolling boil, add seasoning and seafood. Gently stir, cover pot and return to a boil, occasionally stir seafood until cooked
The 64 oz Bag will season 7 gallons of water, enough for a whole sack of crawfish
Boiling time: shrimp 2-5 minutes, crawfish 5-7 minutes, crabs 10-12 minutes.
Cut off fire, gently stir seafood again, cover pot and let soak. While soaking, stir occasionally to release heat so that the seafood does not overcook. Soaking time: shrimp 5-10 minutes, crawfish and crabs 15-30 minutes. For you seafood lovers who enjoy extra flavor, one 8oz bottle of Cajun Land Liquid Crab Boil may be added during cooking period.
Helpful Hints: Add frozen corn to pot while seafood is soaking and fire is off. The corn will act like ice cubes and cool the water down. Let corn soak for 15 minutes or until warm and juicy. Corn and seafood should be ready at the same time. Enjoy!
