Step 1: Cut 1 lb. smoked sausage or ham into bite size pieces.
Step 2: Add meat and red bean mix to 5 cups of water; stir well.
Step 3: Heat to a boil and stir occasionally. Reduce heat, cover, and let cook on low for 3 hours. Continue to stir occasionally.
Step 4: Uncover and continue cooking on low until beans are tender and sauce is creamy. Stir occasionally so that beans do not scorch.
Step 5: Serve over a bed of cooked rice and ENJOY!
